How much to fit tyres
I have a set of wheels with tyres on and also the new set I want to put on my wheels. How much is a fair price to swap the tyres over and does anyone know where to go near Woking/Guildford?
A mate of mine paid £30 to swap a rear but that seems far too expensive for my liking. |
Re: How much to fit tyres
Seems to range from about a tenner if you remove the wheel and take it in yourself to around £35 ride in ride out. I recently got my rear changed at my local garage and they charged £22 to do it.

Re: How much to fit tyres
what you have to bear in mind is like all things the tyre place needs to make a profit, they generally make a small margin on the tyres and fitting is at cost, so if they supply the tyre everyone is happy, if you bring in your own then they will have to charge more as they make no money otherwise.

Re: How much to fit tyres
It will be loose wheels not ride in ride out. Anyone in recommend someone near me? Tenner sounds like a fair price

£20 for fitting both front and rear to loose wheels, including removing old ones, at Hook Merityre.

Re: How much to fit tyres
Loose wheels is from about £15 set
Ride in is from around £22, and as Marks set there is little profit in the tyres |

We charge £10 per loose wheel inc balancing.
