Oil light help

Hi there, I'm new to the site and I'm the proud owner of an 02 curvy, picked her up last week after passing my test a few weeks back. Loving the bike and so glad I spent so long looking for the right one!
I was out on it this evening and pulled over briefly, as I pulled up I must have stalled or something as it cut out but the red oil light (only) came on the dash, started it (was still in 1st) and the oil light went out and didn't come back on again for the rest of the ride.

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is an indication of low oil pressure or it just came on coz I stalled it? From memory I normally only see the neutral light and the Amber one when th ignitions on but engine not running.

Thanks in advance.
Matt

Also an 02 curvy rider. I may be wrong but I'm sure the light on mine is on unless the engine is actually running. Check the oil level (bike upright, remember). If the level looks ok and the light isn't coming on when the engine is running, I wouldn't worry too much. The amber light is your petrol light. If THAT comes on when your engine is running, start looking for fuel!
