Cutting Converter

Hey guys.
Looking for some reassurance!
Recently fitted a beowulf end can, followed the instructions on how far to cut behind weld and still hit a honey comb shape metal insert within the pipe. Left it in. So far no problems. Sounds great and performs really well. Am I in for a surprise in the future. My advice would be to cut 60-70mm behind weld not 50mm as instructed then I would of missed it. Please help. Manny thanks.

It's the CAT. A lot of people opt to hack it out with a flat edge screw driver.

IMO it serves no purpose to remove it, leave it in, won't do any harm.

Anything in the exhaust is a restriction that you can happily do without. UK spec bikes don't need a Cat to pass an MOT, they only need one to pass homologation in the EU. No-one will ever test the bike for emissions so may as well rip the useless thing out as it's unnecessary.

Ambient temperatures in the UK never reach a level where a Cat is going to make the blindest bit of a difference to emissions anyway.
