new engine :(

hi guys,
im new to the forum and dont know weather im posting in the right place so sorry if i am. iv recently blown up my sv 650s 2007. after riding it a litle to hard on restriction. im looking for a replacement engine of the same year as a rebuild with grinding the crank will be less cost effective and more time consuming. if anyone knows of an engine for sale or somewhere good to look for one id really appreciate the help thanks

Sorry to hear about the motor. Generally low oil rather than "ragging it" tends to be the issue.

Try a parts breaker search like this one: http://www.bike-breakers.info/
Also keep an eye out in the for sale section or put a post in the wanted section.

Best of luck!

Yea low oil is the killer on these engines, got one in the garage at the mo with bright blue conrods and 5mm of movement in the crank due to the heat of running it with no oil, stripping it for spares as its fecked.

Btw it wasnt me who ran it with low oil :)

What are you doing with the blown engine?

Depending on various things I might be interested in it for a project...
