for no other reason than it was my first proper motorbike

makes no sense I grant you and I know I'd use it for about 5 minutes and then return to the S4, but still.

so what was your first ?

I don't remember them doing a yellow frame as standard, so I guess it was a diy job then ?

My first bike was this

A Honda Rebel CA 125, exact colour. A whole 12bhp to carry a tonne of bike! Twas a right grotty thing and I did polish is all shiny, sold it on for more than I bought it for:smt003

But it was on one of this, that I first learnt to ride a bike

Now when you've stopped laughing, this was the first powered two wheeler i owned (i didn't think i would get away with saying bike ;)) and i did 80 miles a day 6 days a week and in all weathers for just over a year on this little thing with not one problem.

Before that, I had this 'ped'....shaft driven luxury at 16yrs old woop woop! (it's not the only thing that was shaft driven at that age either ;) )

This was technically my first, a 1977 Honda CG125, didn't have her for long once I'd ridden her once, the drum brakes were appalling!

Mine was one of these, GN125, but tbh I dont really look back with much affection, it kept reducing me to tears out of sheer frustration!!
