I don't like this vid!

While this does accurately reflect average intelligence, it greatly lacks in showing how they also manage to presume themselves smarter than the rest of the entire world.
It's not enough just to be stupid, you need to be arrogant as well.

While very funny, it's not everybody, the many Americans I've met have been very intelligent, skilled people, but there is a definite ignorance of the rest of the world.
I read somewhere a few years ago that 90% of Americans had never left their country, that would explain the above I think.

Ha Ha thats funny, but no suprise really. But its not just Amercican's Bill, you'll be pleased to know.

One of my colleagues was telling me about some English girls being told some made up stuff, which they believed. It was on a radio show or something like that.

One of the facts that they believed was that the black and white cows, the ones that had more black patches, had less milk inside them, the more white ones were full.

I'll find out a few more, they were amazingly stupid :p

But before any feminists jump up and down, we managed to convice a male colleague that they used the Euro in Wales :sunny:

Go to any major city and poll people as they are walking past, make sure you bias your questions to people who look like they may not know and then make a video out of the ones who got the questions wrong and remove the ones that got it right from your data. Stand back and laugh smugly at the stupid people, while at all times coming across as mildly xenophobic. Lovely video you found there.

Having worked in the education system in this country I can assure you that there are British children leaving school who are unable to read or write to a level that you and I would consider essential to exist in this society. This is nothing to do with Learning difficulties, but simply because in some places, being educated is considered to be "un-cool". More often than not it is the ones who create the most trouble in school who have the worst rates of literacy and even attendance.

Oh i know you could make exactly the same clip in any British town center, some people are just stoopid, it's questions like, where was/is the Berlin wall that crack me up, and the bit where they had re-named Australia Iran Korea and France, they just assumed that it was right, I mean who doesn't know where Australia is on a map, and i've never been there either :(

having been brought up in the centre of Edinburgh i have met a lot of different races. i would say that the yanks are ok. they are nice and polite. what i do like about the yanks is the inbuilt feeling to tip people, for instance when they ask for directions i soon learnt that if i actually took them there (which was usually round the corner or a few streets away) they would reward me with cash for my efforts :-)

There's a response to that video (if it's what I think it is) where two students went out onto the streets of Britain to show that you'll always find ignorance regardless of where you go.

Back in the day Toronto Ford dealers did a series of ads talking to people on the street, eventually they went south of the border and asked questions about Canada.

One guy was not to be caught out by a deliberately loaded question...
INTERVIEW: Who's the president of Canada?
GUY: Man, I thought they had a prime minister!
