Sticking gears
Hey peeps
I own a SK4 and has done nearly 17,000 miles. Recently I have had problems with my gears sticking. Sometimes I have to bang the gear down or up to get it in gear. Now this does not happen all the time, nut most of the time. Took my bike for a service and the mechanic couldn't figure out what the hell it is that's making the gears stick. It doesn't need a new gear box and the clutch cable was replaced about 800 miles ago. Has anyone had this problem before? Cheers D |
Re: Sticking gears
Check for corrosion binding the gear lever to the peg causing it to stick. common fault.

Re: Sticking gears
OK thanks. How do I do that? FYI, I am no mechanic but am keen to learn :-)

Re: Sticking gears
Is the oil level inbetween full and empty? Possibly it's overfilled?
