Am I doing wrong by not declaring NCB?
I'm getting quotes for my (not yet purchased) van.
Quotes with 0 NCD are reasonable. If I try 1 year NCD it almost doubles! So... if I buy, after the first year when I go to re-insure, am I obliged to use the 1 year NCD or just forget about it? |
Re: Am I doing wrong by not declaring NCB?
Eh ?
That can't be right mate, you're looking at the wrong sites I think, try calling the same companies, something's a miss there. |
Re: Am I doing wrong by not declaring NCB?
I've tried it time and again, using gocompare, confused, and insurance4vans. It always happens. Even if I try 5 years NCD its more than none.

I don't think you're "obliged" to declare it. But it definitely shouldn't cost you money. I agree with specialone, Ignore the comparison sites and speak to a few companies on the phone.

Just had a fiddle - with 2 years its still a lot more, it takes 9 years to get better than none at all |
Re: Am I doing wrong by not declaring NCB?
And I say again, get off the comparison sites and phone Bike Team or Carol Nash or somebody sensible.
