Yet mor puzzling insurance quotes
Had to get a quote for my Honda C90 crunch, as I've got to get it MOT'd on Friday, its been SORN for the last couple of years, and I'm about to sell it.
So usual practice go the the Meerkat website and put in my details Best quote using 3 years NCB £56 TPF&T Tried just 3rd party only £53 OK, not too bad, but I thought I'd check my current insurance brokers online quote, but thinking properly I remembered I can't use my NCB for another policy. So £69, insurance quote from Zenith insurance. So I thought I'd ring my broker up and see if I could add the Honda crunch to my Sv policy. Sorry sir no can do, said the helpful chap, who passed me onto sales. Same details, no NCB discount £127!!!!!!!!! minus legal protection £103!!!!!!. Thank you but no thank you  Went back to the Meerkat site, re entered my details but ammended NCB to 0years NCB = £49 quote from Zenith insurance!!!!!! THE same insurance company, the only thing I can think of is that my current broker automatically added legal protection to the policy so £69 included that fee. With Swinton it was added during the process and I could untick the box saving £30 otherwise it would have been £79 But my SV is only £111 fully comp, so how can the C90 cost more to insure, with or without NCB  Why the big difference between the online quote and calling direct to my current broker? |
Re: Yet mor puzzling insurance quotes
I think they make certain assumptions about you and/or the sites have different calculation. I always ring round.
Currently doing online insurance quotes to test the water, one broker's quoting £1600 TPO, £1400 Fully comprehensive. It's always been smoke and mirrors. |
