Re: water pump power

It pumps up hill anyway, cos the rad is higher than the pump, so all your doing is increasing the capactiy of water. So it should be fine.

yep tar all that replied, a mate of mine races a triumph tripple special on mabelthorpe beach, it gets the sht thrashed out of it all the way round, his advice is, dont over cool the motor, as the motor is set up to run at 90 degs + -. and the clearances will stat to open up a little if it runs to cool, i think a good temp is required before i start cutting hoses, tar wayne, rob

On my sv at the manx this year I ran standard rad, and that was putting out 83bhp, with no problems.

Without the thermostat in, and sitting at 55 degrees on the line, the bike takes three laps (5 miles) to get to 85-90 degrees and only gets hotter if we end up sitting on the grid for a red flag etc. Its never got close to overheating during a race.
