Bikeless...

This is a very wierd feeling... Although I did not go out on it that often I always knew the SV was in the garage waiting for me. Now it's been sold it feels odd.

I shall miss my beloved curvy - best bike I've had in 25 years, by a VERY long way. The shopping begins properly at the weekend and whatever I get next has a hard act to follow.

Now excuse me while I go and have a good cry...

While my pointy has been away at motorbike hospital, I have missed her like crazy. However, her Doctor has phoned me every week with an update on how she is and the news is that I could have her back very soon. I could not imagine selling her on, there is too much love and fun invested in her. She even has a name, Sylvie.

If she had been written off, I don't know what I would have replaced her with if I had chosen another bike. Certainly not a Honda CBF600! :smt078

I blame that really friendly dealer in Oxfordshire for pressing keys into my hand and telling me to go off and ride some of his demonstrators...

It made me decide it was time for a change.

The pointy has bars which are a bit low for me. I'd rather have something more upright and comfy.

Remember to ride all types of bike before you choose a suitable replacement, and by that I mean the v-strom/BMW GS, especially if you like high bars ;)

Re: Bikeless...

I tried a Strom at the freindly dealer - very comfy but a smidge tall for me and the buffeting was not much fun.

My budget will not stretch to a BMW or Trumpet unless I go for something older which I don't want to do.
