Bike Dropped
As per title really. I replaced the reg/rec on my bike today after having a few charging issues, the problem is now resolved and once again my bike is back in full working order. So plastics back on take off the paddock stand and away I go for a short run, well it would have been rude not to, it's been a lovely day . I get home after the run and go to take off my leathers.
After a mugga, I decide to put the bike away, so I start up and trundle into the garage, at which point all of my braincells decided to go on strike. I went to lean the bike onto the sidestand................................having forgotten to put the damn thing down](*,). Yup you guessed, over she goes, nice and gentle like onto her left side, I managed to sidestep but caught my nice shiny Delkevik with my heel putting a tiny ding in it:mad:. No other damage occurred. Oh well at least now I know it's not that difficult for a little fella like me to pick it up. I feel like such an **** but at least I did it in the privacy of my garage and not in full view of Joe public. |
Re: Bike Dropped

Re: Bike Dropped
Been there and done that... almost. Managed to hold mine up thankfully but I did laugh how you can end up in the staus quo period whereby it's not dropping but not raising, merely hovering whilst trying to find the strength!
Is the Delkevik your exhaust? Could have been a lot worse I guess! |

Re: Bike Dropped
not a nice experience, had a similar thing years ago, was sitting in traffic on my FZR600 and my pillion (wife) leant out to talk to me, trouble is I had left foot down only and she leat to the right.
Just about kept it from hitting the floor by a couple of inches. Had to lay down some pillion rules after that :D |
Re: Bike Dropped
Hey there Noddy, I have done the same thing myself, I felt like a real pillock after that! If a mad girly can pick up a fallen SV, anyone can.

Re: Bike Dropped
Put my old VFR800 on the floor parking in a packed biker cafe on a sunny Sunday. Problem was, my Mrs was still sat on the back. How stupid did I feel. :-?
