IOS 5 and location services
 

Since I upgraded* my ipod touch to IOS 5 the location services no longer work. It thinks I'm in Texas and sets my clock and weather accordingly.
Looking at the apple forums many many people are affected, and apple's response is the usual 'turn it off and on again'.
I've also tried all the remedies suggested by users but none work so far.
Anyone else affected?

* added 200 extra features, about 5 of which I have discovered - shorter battery life, sluggish keyboard response being two of them.

I was kinda drooling over an ipad, but after this I've bought an andriod tablet instead. Nice it is too.

My location thing seems fine. What iphone have you got? My 3GS just gets slower and slower the more they update it. I really can't stand being faster than technology

Does it have wifi? Mine moans at me if I try to use google maps with wifi turned off

yes, that all works ok.
varios suggestions have been to turn location off and on, total reset, airplane mode, reset and re-enter wifi passwords, all in combinations. None work for me.
Apple - you can shove your icloud ****e and 200 enhancements, just make it work the way it was meant to, and no I'm not paying for service credits just to speak to a fecking help line.
