+1 Worth a looksee at some point. I think its open after the usual anti-biker petition against it opening. They have a facebook page which looks like its up and running :cool:

Looks positive news. I often stop in the bike only parking behind the Oddfellows Arms for feed and break. Will give them a try as soon as I can. Sad about the anti bike petition though.

I think it was the pub opposite that objected against it, not 100% on that though.

I've just had a look through and round the Committee report for the meeting it was agreed at, and there were 29 letters/emails objecting, and 46 in support. (Although interestingly, the voting at the meeting came close with 6 in favour and 5 against.)

Good find and an interesting read. The concerns about school children and healthy eating plans etc due to a cafe being built made me lol.

Yeah you'll find that (with a cynical eye) the committee members often vote in a way which wins them favour with public voters rather than on solid planning grounds, which is one of the reasons that the appeal process exists - chances are that many of the objections also weren't based on anything planning related either...
