Motorcycling in Dubai?
 
Hi Guys, Happy Christmas....

Im leaving Ireland early next year to go and work in Dubai, Im moving indefinitely so its a long term thing and I've heard mixed reports about biking over there.

Has anyone ever biked there or does anyone from this site live there?

Any help is much appreciated,

You're going from Ireland to Dubai, don't think they have bikes with aircon yet. Yeah i've seen the vid of the guy with the hoover on the back, lol :rolleyes:

Ha Ha..... winter riding there will be fine temp wise.... was wondering if there's much of a biking scene.

Big LOL, :D And macker from my you tube experiances they all seem to drive cadillacs or 4 by 4's out there, I'm sure you will have a brill time though :D

An old colleague rides an RC8 out in Dubai, he seems to get on ok.

Been there quite a lot as I have family over there. Commuting or daily driving at peak times, absolutely not. The taxi drivers are mainly from India / Bangladesh and drive like idiots. Then there's the other half with cars with more power than they have sense, lot of kids with too much to play with. Plus for fun factor, no point, new city so roads are straight in the main, no hills or twisties, need to go a long way for that. Did a bit of rallying near Oman and quad biking, think that fits the place better.

I'd personally give it a miss having experienced the driving out there that I have.

Not sure if they've got a race track yet but that'd be worthwhile, guaranteed weather and decent surface.
