February MTB weekend anybody?

Hey all

Been away for a bit, but we're in the UK until March and we quite fancy the idea of a cycling weekend as per the 2010 Wet Welsh Weekend...

Was thinking to perhaps try and get a few of the same people involved, and have maybe two groups, one who're interested in the crazy stuff, black runs and the like, and a group who would like to just enjoy some scenary and ride some gentle trails...

Anybody around? We'd need to plan it fairly quickly but could be good fun and a little winter warmer...

Oh, if there's demand, I can probably fit two people and their bikes somewhere on the way from the Island up to Wales/North (Big new car:mrgreen: )

Depends on the dates but aye, could well be up for that...

If I do, I could get 2 folks down from the frozen north... Though I might want to make a longer weekend of it to justify the miles.

Missed the last 2 MTB weekends so I'd be interested just to make this one

Me me me me. Deffo up for it, just say when!!!

Can i bagsie a pick up if no-one else needs one on your way up? :-D you can always stop if you fancy shortening the trip, as we have a proper house with space now.

Any thoughts on where? North Wales again, or Coed Y brenin?

Hey Drew, I was thinking of you... ;) Would Lindsey be interested in some gentle trails? My Toni likes to cycle but she's not interested in anything like my knee shredding antics from last time!!

If so we could fit both of you, both bikes and head on up to Wales somewhere? I was kind of hoping Mike would spot this and perhaps we could drop in on him... :-dd

Good to hear theres more interest from the north too, would be good to get a bunch of people together!!

Lindsey is not a mtb'er as she has only ever ridden on road.....plus she doesn't have a suitable vehicle. However if after the 15th of Feb, she "may" consider, as its after my pay so we can just hire a bike for her. But it will be the first time for her so she is not sure.

Buy some knee guards by the way....the you wont have the same issues as last time! ;-)
