Who's plane ?

Daughter is flying out in a few months to the states. She's hooked the flights with united airlines, however it has said that it is operated by continental airlines ?

She's wondering on who's plane she will be going on ?

Kind regards, tonyk

From where?

Ive flew from brum via paris to the states and that was with continental, i thought they were very good at the time if it helps, free soft drinks whenever you liked, wasnt crammed full either.

Whenever I fly and a statement like that is said, it's 99% of the time normally on the plane of the original airline the flight was booked with.

I fly most weeks with British Airways Operated by Sunair Scandinavia. It's always on British Airways planes that are in effect rented to Sunair for that particular route.

Where to where? Codeshare isn't unheard of, I flew Heathrow to SF using United.

Its probably Sunair that own the aircraft and have them liveried with British Airways colours to be able to fly British Airways routes.

I used to work for Maersk Air at Birmingham airport and we did the same.

United and Continental merged in 2010. All Continental planes are being repainted in United livery (alot already have been) and flight codes will be changed to United codes over time. The Continental flights from Manchester for example will have United flight codes from May this year.

London to hawaii, via I think los Angeles or san Francisco Maui (there'll be questions about that later) , reason she was wondering was because of the flat bed. Not every united 777 plane has flat beds whereas all continental planes do (777 for the longer stretch). She was hoping they'd get put on continental's plane and sleep the way through.

That's a long ass journey :(
12 hours to LA I think, then 3-4 to Hawaii depending on the island.

Flat bed? I assume this is at least business class then?
