Bike Tyres Leeds - free fitting on Michelin Tyres through Feb & March

Just rang to ask them how much their michelin pilot road 2's are (after finding cheapest online price £200 for a pair PLUS POSTAGE).. They start from £196, and for my bike they're £212..

However - they're currently doing free fitting and balancing through Feb & March "Michelin are paying for your fitting" :bounce:

Used them once before, and the service was great. They even fitted proper bike tyre valves unlike woosters who used the longer car version (and I've also heard people complain that their rims have been damaged after using woosters)..

PR2's here I come :driving:

Been up to BTL a couple of times, seem like a decent bunch, plus it's near squires so its a good excuse to go for a play too :)

They do part warns and they also do air ambulance support.

Used them previously but they used to offer free fitting and balancing as standard on any of thier prices.

ah righto, when I was there in august 2010 getting pr2's for the first time I think the bill was about £240 ride in ride out fitting & supply

yeah, dual compound jobbies with sticky rubber on the shoulders of the tyres and harder rubber in the middle for better mileage.

Asked about PR3's, the woman on the phone said that the pr3's are the exact same identical compound & composition, just that the tread has more cuts on the pr3's so they channel water better in the wet and warm up a lot quicker..

If you do a lot of wet weather riding then the pr3's will be better for you, but if it's mainly dry with the occasional bit of damp then pr2's are the slightly cheaper but equally excellent option :)

Preference thing. The PR3s move around a bit more due to all the cuts, feels like a wet unsurprisingly. PR2 may run cooler and last longer, maybe.
