Divorce and a Dream come true

Divorce means I can buy the bike of my dreams.

It's a Honda VT1300 CX Fury. And I don't care it's a HD copy it just has the looks to die for...for me anyway.

The hard part will be chopping my SV against it. 2002, fully faired, seat cowl, R&G crash bungs 11k miles and every invoice ever. She is in better condition than when she came of the production line.*We really are talking mint.

What should I be looking for part-ex ? The Honda is £10k

I dispute the HD copy tag, it'll more than likely go, stop, vibrate less and be better on fuel than a HD, so a win win if that's your thing.

I know its all personal choice but I'd want £11K for my SV against a £10K cruiser.
But the way to go is to ask for the price to change the £10K price tag means nothing.
Good luck hope you enjoy both.

Break out the bubbly, enjoy the freedom!
You don't have to worry about what anyone else thinks of your choices now. Least of all the ex and definitely not me. Good luck. PS: I think your choice of bike is naff. It's all plasticky and cheap, honestly it is.

Now then...if I ever got divorced, I'd be lucky to get a ride on a Budgie (70's kid's bike), let alone a motorbike :(

Don't mind and don't care. You are entitled to your (wrong) opinion the Honda. I just think she is lovely.

PX has got to be the worst way of getting rid of your SV. Can you not work the sums so you can sell it privately to a good home and make a few extra £ at the same time?

Dunno, last year dealers were gagging for 2nd hand bikes and offering great PX deals.
