Pointy/Curvy - what's the difference?

OK....Im new to the forum and I keep seeing Pointy and Curvy as adjectives.

Can anyone explain to me, in as simple terms as possible, what these terms define??

I own a 1999 SV so is it pointy or curvy (I know I'm curvy :op)

Curvy.

Curvy and pointy refers to the shape of the bikes when they changed from carburettor fuel delivery to electric fuel injection. If you look at the top/front fairing, you can seen that the post k3 SVs have a pointy "nose" whereas yours will be curved.

Curvy 1999 - 2002
Pointy 2003 - present

IMO Pointy's are better :-)

It's only early, he's mistaken pointy with curvy. ;)

Some curvys are on 03 plates.

End 2 in the banner are curvy
2nd & 4th in are pointy
