Curvy clocks not working right.

Hi All,

Just joined so HELLO!

I brought an SV650sy 'v' reg, all was good on the test run, and I rode it for a few days after delivery, however yesterday I noticed that the rev counter, speedo, netural light and hi/low beam indicator on the dash are not working. Turn signal indicator blinks as it should and the dials are lighting up when the headlight is on.

Can anyone shed any light on whats happened?

Cheers

Rob

Re: New bike - New problems

I would hazard a guess the blubs which make up the back lighting on your dash have blown.

Easy fix, with a little strip down swap the bulbs and rebuild :) good-to-go

EDIT: Hello and welcome,

hang about and someone may be able to point you in the right direction for the replacements.

Should have gone to Specsavers mate :p

Could be a dodgy connection to the clocks maybe? Check the wiring and connectors for any damage/corrosion.

Before going any further check fuse 5 marked 'meter'.

Try the easy thing first eh? It'll never catch on. :)

I hadn't even realised the clocks had their own fuse TBH. Every day's a school day on here.

Even read it a few times over after reading your post and still didnt understand it.
Went from "thinkin bulbs dont work"
to "bulbs never work when lights are switched off, wtf is he on about"
to "finally I understand the problem". but still no idea how to sort it, but Sid is here anyway so OP will be fine
