£350 to spend : Suggestions from the Org...

Our syndicate came up on the lottery. 5 numbers, £2000 which is £400 each. :D:D:D:D:D:D

I've paid all my bills so feel I should spend my winnings on something fun.

I have already decided to donate £50 to the East Anglia Air Ambulance in memory of Reeder.

So now I have £350 to play with. Here are some ideas I've already come up with, but I'm sure you guys can give me some entertaining suggestions!

  • A new lens for my camera - a nice lightweight 18 - 250mm so I don't have to lug the heavy L series monsters around when I'm on holiday.
  • Have a cat flap fitted to my double glazed door for my moggies - yes, I really have received a quote for £345 for this!
  • Buy a bicycle and start riding to the station to get fit and tone up my bum.
  • Get botox to get rid my of my 'Blue Eagle from the Muppets' frown lines and a fake tan so I can get that TOWIE look - I do live in Essex you know.
  • Purchase a pair of Spanx control pants and 250 Cadbury Creme Eggs and eat the lot before Easter while the magic knickers hold my belly in.
Come on Org - what do you suggest?

For practicality, the cat flap... it'll only cost you later if you don't.

Not sure about the spanking pants - do you charge??

But for me, its got to be the creme eggs

I would have thought you'd be able to buy a ready made panel with cat flap fitted for much less, rather than having one retro fitted to your existing panel?

When I moved into my house one of the mouldings on the inner panel of the pvc door was cracked - I got round to replacing it just before xmas - £70 for the panel delivered (from ebay) and took about 20 minutes to fit. A pvc door company would probably fit it for you if you sourced it, just make sure the measurements are right :)

As for other options, why not an experience or spa day? Go clay pigeon shooting or quad biking, go on a mini break somewhere, hire a camper for a weekend and head off camping maybe?

Over the last 2 years or so I've realised I'd rather spend money on experiences & memories than material stuff which ends up in the spare room. But as my disposable income is very little I have to buy street drugs from shady characters to get the best experience/£ ratio. Bit moreish though :smt116

cat flap to a dg door is a doddle, no way it should cost that much.

How about snow boarding lessons at the various indoor venues? :-)

£350 would get a nice city break for 2 in budapest, copenhagen or the likes.

I am just having a new glazed panel made so I can have a cat flap! It's costing Mr £100+vat for the panel that was for a toughened argon filled unit, and the day flap was 15 delivered. The glazing company will for the cat flap to the new panel. Just make sure that the catflap is for a round hole. You can't cut a square hole in a double glazed unit.
The rest you can spend on creme eggs and control pants!!
