XV Virago 535 Nearly for Sale

Hi Guys,

I'm going to be selling my XV535 soon, I'm in two minds whether to or not as I put so much money and time into her over the years but I need the money. Just wanted to see if anyone would be interested?

Shes not quite ready as I've stripped her down to sort out a few minor details, but here's a list of whats been done over the past year..

New fork seals
New front pads
Goodridge braided front brake hose
Crome flame embossed Grips
Metallic Black Handlebar gear
Chrome flame mirrors
Metallic black engine side cases
Highway hawk air pods (One is damaged)
Highway hawk rear foot pegs
Custom made exhaust (I think, havent seen the same anywhere)
Cut down seat
New battery
Plenty of tread on tyres
Plenty of life left on brake shoes
Random black metallic parts around the bike
Polished carbs

She is a 92 with 40,000 km on the clock but last year she was stripped down completely and everything was shotbasted, etched and powder coated in black. Shes got a modified starter clutch as the orginal design is prone to falling off, it came with a verbal gaurantee that it would never fall off or not engage again and i've never had a problem since. Shes also got many parts (like wiring loom, foot rails, fuel pump and switchgear) which isn't original to the bike and came from later models as spares in better condition.

This is a head turning gorgeous bike.

Any questions please email me, will try and get some picture up. I havent put up a price as I have no idea what shes worth so ill be looking to sensible offers.

Cheers!
Dave

P.S Forgot to mention, she has a sissy bar and will come with leather panniers and leather sissy bar box, for all your storage needs!

Dave - one of the rules of posting items in " for sale " is that you need to state a price

Good luck with the sale.

are there any chances to see the pics? My dad is looking for a decent example so he might be interested. But he'll need to see the pics first.

Sorry, couldn't work out how to upload to this forum.

Forgot to mention that most bolts have been changed to new stainless allen bolts.

Thats her at the moment, im still working on her (obviously) just perfecting a few things. Should be done by two weeks time as i've still got to buy a few bits.

She will have had a really good clean before selling.

What are these actually worth? Seem to vary massively, my father in law has had one in his garage for ages. Think its N reg, about 1600 miles, he's first owner, never seen rain. I think he got it on a whim, not had it out for about 2 or 3 years and that was just to mot it!
