Which paint?

Hi all

Looking for some advice on what brand of paint to use to respray my curvy. Current colour is yellow, looking to respray yellow (basically to get rid of scratches and to make the bike one colour as it's two different shades of yellow atm!).

My mates dad does painting as a sort of on the side thing and from what I've heard he's pretty good, says he'll do it for 40 quid if I can supply the paint.

This leads on to the question of what brand of paint. Don't want a rattle can job as from what I've heard the quality is crap, so brush on preferably. Keeping it as cheap as is possible; I'm not looking for a professional finish but I don't want it looking crap either.

Presume I'd need primer, paint and lacquer?

Any advice appreciated!

http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-gb/colours.php Try this lot. They seem to do the proper primers, colours and laquer.

The yellow curvy is a 3 stage paint consisting of yellow flat base, yellow pearl and then the clearcoat.
Rs paints is expensive so try a local paint supplier.
I did mine in Lamborghini orange from yellow.

Looks very nice indeed. Did you do it yourself, and if so how?

My wife just walked in and said "That's a nice colour". If she's happy, it must be good!
