Some help needed

Evening , some travel advice required , i'm traveling down from glasgow by train on saturday morning to collect my new bike in york , whats the best way home for me ? up the east coast or cross country and up the west ? thoughts ?

I've done similar quite a few times, depends what you want, quick or scenic.

Quick:
Head across the A66 then up the M6/M74

Scenic *read as fun*
Zigzag up the country, I can come up with a few nice routes, I might even join you for part of it...

Let me know if you want scenic ideas...
