Mrs RC66 crashed my Harley

Heading out by the distillery past Blanefield with Abby, Garry, and my wife (on the Harley) when she clips the pegs on a roundabout. She lost it and mounted the nearside kerb before swerving back onto the tarmac and veering into oncoming traffic before mounting the opposite kerb and sending herself and bike down a verge into long grass and marsh.

Wife's ok thankfully, but we were pulling clumps of mud out of the bike and I've got a broken indicator, gear lever, and some scratches to the shiny paintwork.

Sounds like she got off lightly glad she's OK.
Bodge the HD, flog it and buy her something with higher pegs.
Cuddle her and keep a tight grip on her. Wives that share our hobby are to be treasured.

You sound like you were witnessing your missus as she came off, a horrible position to be in. Very glad she's ok, hope you are too.

Awwwww thats a lovely thing to say Malcolm :)

Peg shares the same sentiments......I asked him what he'd do if I binned the ZZR, he said its only a bike love!

However question...... is this the same Harley that was won in a raffle?

Glad she's okay

Are they pegs or footplates? if foot plates (or weird pegs) I'd swap for something that protrudes less.
Cheers

Cheers folks. She doesn't appear to be too phased by it, I think I got the bigger fright watching it unfold in slo-mo.

It was the bike I won at the end of last year which we're intending on punting to put towards a new house now that baby RC66 is with us. unfortunately I think we've knocked a couple of Harley Davidson points off it now.
