Hold your groaning for a second..

It was mentioned in Joe Marcon's thread that someone called Paul Wilson from the SV forums had called the hospital and then hung up before the nurse got back to the phone.

I'm not happy about this at all because I have done nothing of the sort, and the penny has just dropped with me about 10 minutes ago, it's someone on here who has attempted to intrude/invade Joe's privacy in an attempt to work out whether the kid is telling the truth about his illness...

Whoever it is, you're an absolute nob end. Don't use my name for your own trivial adventures because there's no exciting trolling to be done elsewhere on the internet.

that just goes to show how sick and cowardly some people are. i really never thought that anyone on this forum would stoop to such levels.

I didnt know your last name was Wilson . So I didn't just make it up and say he rang . So it's definite that someone knows your full name and used it
So it means I'm not lying that someone rang . Hard to explain from my part . This has spiraled all wrong . I have cancer! End of. No lies . I'll take pictures of my forms and bone marrow and vid of me on machine having blood taken to drop white cell count . If this makes you feel better.

Don't be bloody silly joe, it's some mongo on here who's phoned up & used my name. There really are some absolute idiots on here. Just replied to your pm wishing you a speedy recovery & hoping you're as we'll as can be mate, you questioned who Paul Wilson was autonomously & publicly on the thread mate, I've had no outside connection with you do you'd have to be psychic to make it up.

Paul , just don`t bother your **** with finding out who , what , when etc . Yep , Someone`s been a plank , somebody has far too much time on their hands and somebody hasn`t thought about their actions and the consequences of what happens from that . I categorise stuff like this now to 2 statuses .

1. Will it matter tomorrow ?
2. Will this matter in a years time ?

And then deal with it after that . Joe ... sorry to hear about what you are going through feller , and I wish you a speedy recovery .

To the person that called up .................................. go and have a quiet word with yourself and become a better person for it .

ive been a mate of your for a while and have you on facebook, it still took me 5 minutes to put your surname and you together,
as a avid prankster of which most here can testify i have done some proper wierd and wonderful things ,some of which havent went down too well (eh badger) .
but this is a whole new level of wtf

things have been seeming to go a bit arrey over the last few months, maybe even before that, which has got me wondering.
but i think badgers two main premises are correct, this wont matter tomorrow or in a year, so assign it to the mental bin of "mmmmmm ok next"

joe, cancer is **** but as you know can be beaten (like a englishman at rugby - it happens often enough) so just do what is required to b1tchslap it back to where it came from and enjoy the rest of your life

paul, have 2 jugs of woowoo and none of this will have ever happened , simples

I was thinking it might have been a randomer as you have a link to your website in your sig so seemingly anyone could find your contact details through that but your name's not on there...so its more likely it's someone on your facebook, joy. But as Badg says, not worth getting your knickers in a twist over, maybe someone was genuinely concerned but didn't want to use their own name and knowing Joe was mates with you probably thought they'd have more of a chance getting through and finding out what the craic was with your name...

No knickers twisted at this end, was facked off with it last night, too much on with work & too little sleep to waste any more energy on it now.

Would it be possible that the hospital logged the 'callers' number when they rang pretending to be you Paul? just a thought if you felt like investigating it a bit further.
