Complete electrical failure - Curvy.
my 2001 curvy has suffered complete electrical failure. i have no ignition lights. nothing. it started when my battery was low. 1am in the morning coming home from work it wouldn't start cause of low battery. helpful passing motorist offered me a jump start at this stage has ignition lights. that was until the helpful motorist mixed up the terminals on his car. causing a big flash of sparks and then no ignition lights nothing. next day returned and put on a brand new battery and changed all the fuses. still nothing. i've then read alll the comments on previous threads and checked all connectors and earths including the infamous green connector. all leads and connectors are tightly done up and still nothing. battery is showing full charge and there is power to the cellonoid. any thoughts folks!! in anticipation of your answers many thanks.

Re: complete electrical failure
Did you check the main 30amp fuse on the starter relay as thats often overlooked? Its at the right hand side near the seat infill. Pop the cover off the relay and in there will be two fuses, one is a spare. HTH. Sorry if you have already done the above.

Re: complete electrical failure

Re: complete electrical failure
your down to basic fault finding now, so out with the multimeter and start from the front
ps this is assuming when you said checked the green connector that included separating it and testing each connection |
Re: complete electrical failure
I've had the same thing recently on a 2002 curvy, first thing I'd ask is do you have an alarm, I did and where it was put on the loom had come loose and killed the power to the headstock, it was on the righthand side of my bike under the tank.

Re: Complete electrical failure - Curvy.
I found an inline fuse on my alarm when my electrics failed, this was fine by the way, but I did find a damaged wire on my ignition barrel. It is time to get the multi meter out I am afraid, or at least find some one who is good with one and get them to check your wires like I did! ;-)

Re: Complete electrical failure - Curvy.
I agree with Jayneflakes, I had a blown fuse on my alarm then the faulty connection to the loom. I swear alarms are more trouble than they're worth.
