Screw size oil cooler guard?
The original oil cooler guard fell off today. It was in a poor state and badly rusted, as was the cross head screw that held it in place. A stew driver obliterated the head, so I got the Dremel out and. It a new flat head in it. One good go at it and it fell apart.
Subsequently I need to get it extracted and replaced. Does any one know the size of the screw, or what I could use as a replacement, size wise? Cheers H |
Re: Screw size oil cooler guard?
M6 x 10 (or 12) I think, but I doubt if you could reuse the thread. I would through drill and use an M6 x 12 stainless cap head with stainless nylock nut. If the thread is ok then omit the nyloc nut and use lots of copper grease.

Thanks. Which bits are explained in the term M6 x 10. Just so I understand.
