There's one called the A406 that's quite good fun.

Re: Good roads?
Serious right (because that's my middle name) one of the big bike magazines did a little book of good roads and I thought there's going to be none within 100 miles of here. Blow me if the North Circular wasn't in it! I might have it somewhere.

I'm deeply sick of hearing how good the roads in the North are, I've ridden all over the country - and I really mean all over it, not just 'round and 'round on a few of the far too well trodden bits we keep hearing about - and there's good riding roads all over the country. In fact the very best bits aren't in the north of England. |
Re: Good roads?
Which bit/side of London are you based in? Herts, Bucks, Berks and Oxon is familiar to me and we have lots of fun bits to hoon about on if that's what you're after. Being off the beaten track they're not all full of Power Rangers and speed traps which makes them even better.

In that case ask this question in the Essex Lounge.

Re: Good roads?
From Epping via Ongar to Saffron Walden then on to Cambridge. I'll PM you a Google maps route later.
