Nice!
do you plan on changing the rocket launcher? |
Re: Quick blast around Rutland
Absolutely, that first pic makes me realise how terrible the stock exhaust is, it's huge! I've been looking at the Delkevic cans so that will be the next thing to do.

I really need to get around Rutland water for a ride, good roads and a decent view. Will be my next ride I think :) Rich Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 |

Re: Quick blast around Rutland
Can you suggest a good route? I'll be down that way in a couple of weeks.

Re: Quick blast around Rutland
Yes mate. The B644 heading south west out of Uppingham is a right laugh and also the B6047 heading north towards Melton Mowbray also has some good stretches especially once you cross the A47. The whole area is packed full of pretty little villages and also Rutland Water is beautiful. There is a nice but quite posh pub in Hambleton which is like a little island in the middle of RW, which also has a nice big beer garden. Look out for Sycamore Harley Davidson/Ducatti motorcycles also in Uppingham which has a burger van outside on weekends and is a popular stop off for bikers for a brew and a chat.
I haven't seen too many coppers in the area, but I'm told they are more prevalent on weekends as it's quite popular. I don't ever remember seeing mobile cameras but please don't take my word for it, I wouldn't want you to get in trouble. Not that you would exceed the speed limit of course ;) EDIT I forgot to say that those pics I took were around Eyebrook Reservoir as made famous as a practise run for the DamBusters in WW2 https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=upp...gl=uk&t=m&z=11 |
Nice roads indeed. TBH any road oit of Melton Mowbray is pretty good. Really good roads are Melton Mowbray to Colsterworth (and on to Bourne), MM to Market Harborough, and MM towards Zouch then onto Ashby de la Zouch.
As for the plod, there are sometimes a mobile speed camera on the roads around Rutland Water, I have seen one on the way to Stamford from Oakham. Just find the b roads and then you won't need to break the limit to have fun :) Cheers Rich Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2 |
