Throttle sensitivity - Curvy?
Hi all. I've been searching Google for answers and it seems that it's just normal for the SV650 to have a really sensitive throttle. I have a 2000 nekkid model but just wanted clarification on this as it seems I'm constantly fighting with the throttle to maintain a steady speed, mainly at lower speeds.
To explain further, it's like I have to hold the throttle firmly in one really precise position to cruise along at 30mph, if I deviate just a really tiny amount off suddenly I'm engine braking quite hard, a really tiny amount on and I'm accelerating. If this is normal then that's fine, I can get used to it, but just seems like I have no margin of error, so to speak. |

Edit sorry this is for a pointy. My bad

Re: Throttle Sensitivity
I keep forgetting your speedcameras take a picture from behind, perverts. They do flash nicely, but they don't send fines to Norway, or so I've heard *cough*
I was going to suggest who cares about accurate speeds, but nevermind. |

Re: Throttle Sensitivity
As can throttle cable slack adjustment. If its set up too tight there is no fine control.

Re: Throttle Sensitivity
It's got plenty of torque and engine braking so if you're used to a four cylinder biek then it can seem a bit off/on. What sort of engine speed are we talking about?
