cheap laptop plea
 

anyone got a cheap laptop? its to suit a 9 year old boy who just wants his own internet and to generaly mess about on, its not as worth getting a new one as not knowing pc's he'll prob just mess it up ;) PM me if you,ve got a cheapy you want to get rid of :)

Check out some netbooks on ebay if its only for browsing :)

Got a Packard Bell netbook. Its about 18months old but only used it for about a month - editing photo's on a Netbook... fail.

If it's 'purely' for web browsing, get him a netbook. You can pick them up new from eBay for about over £120 (and obviously much cheaper secondhand).

My recommendations? Get one with XP loaded onto it (Windows7 uses too much resources for a basic netbook) and watch out for ones branded with 'WindowsCE'.
(Linux based ones are also an option, but are few and far between these days)
