The London I-Balls
Have i missed it or do we not have a thread for spotting SV riders in london?
Instead of an I-Balls thread like Pennine Massive.. we have Crashy McGee. Is that a general statement of London Riders...we 'aint going to see you but we might smack into a bus while trying? Any chance we can get a SV Spotted Sticky? |
Re: The London I-Balls
Hiya!
The Crashy McGee thread has rather died, which is good as I was starting to feel some people were getting competitive. The I-ball stuff is a bit trickier here as most of the people in the Soho section recognise each other by sight anyway, and there are a lot of bikes in London. This tends to lead to unanswered thread after unanswered thread saying "To the blue SV on the A406 this morning, are you on here?" By all means kick one off, it's kinda fun, but the success rate's not always so good when there are literally thousands of bikes kicking round the centre of town at any given moment :D Jambo |
Re: The London I-Balls
Ok I get your point. I passed a blue curvey on the Archway Road the other day and we paired up for about 3 miles and waved as we parted by highgate. It just got me thinking, most of the SV's i've passed have given a wave back.
What we need is forum bumper sticker... or perhaps a forum member secret salute I recall in the "how do you greet other rider thread" we concluded with standing on the pegs with a wide eye stare.. or a black panther fist-pump.... So just looking for thoughts? |
Re: The London I-Balls
I think, whatever else comes from this it is important you make sure that the standard greeting is not likely to be mistaken for a Fascist gesture.
Mistaken identity has been a recurring theme of these threads :D Jambo |
