Re: Thought for today
No and sitting on the fence. We need plenty of mods...we just need them to act for the good of the forum which is how it is 99.9% of the time so I am pretty happy.

Re: Thought for today
Appointed, by John, and as many as he thinks are needed.
It's his forum. |
Re: Thought for today
The moderators do a great job.

Re: Thought for today
I don't think there should be any elections/votes for mods.
Those appointed I'm sure have been for good reason. As for the numbers, I've always thought 'everything in moderation' is a good rule to follow. :drink: (no----yes----no) |
Re: Thought for today
no--yes--no
We have a one man, one vote system. In this case John is the one man, it's his money, he gets the one vote. But seriously, John delegates the responsibility to keep this place in order and so far as I can see it works a whole lot better than most forums. When was the last time you saw a post trying to sell you viagara for example? |

Elections are divisive and messy things. This isn't a popularity contest, the mods shouldn't be the most socially upwardly mobile, they should be the people most trusted to be impartial. I believe anyone campaigning for office should be bared from entering it. Jambo |
