Hi guys.
I am hopefully getting a bike this weekend or next week, so I am looking for some used kit. In particular jacket, trousers, and boots.

I am mainly searching for textiles, but only because I am on a budget.
I am looking to spend about £200-300 on a combination of new and old.

If you have fairly new gloves size medium I am also interested.

I will pick up myself if it is around London.

Decent boots can be had on ebay for not a lot depending on make and style. I got some decent berik boots for about £20-30 delivered and Berik gloves for less than £20 delivered a couple years ago for my track bike. Got some alpinestar boots for £40-50, Dainese 2 piece leathers for £150 and Dainese gloves for £20ish when I first started riding.

Yes. The boots only had a tiny scuff on the heal to give that away, the gloves still smelt of new leather so I'm guessing were worn once or twice at most and the leathers had been cleaned up nicely so didn't look too bad.

I know you don't mention gloves in your original post but please make sure you get some decent ones as the first thing you will do if you come off is put your hands down and your skin isn't nearly as tough as leather and kevlar!

The only reason I didn't mention gloves is because they are not that expensive, and I imagined that used gloves would smell of anything but fresh leather :)

Just make sure you look at the pictures and read the description. I'd never buy well worn boots or gloves for hygiene reasons but sometimes people buy things in the spur of the moment and later decide they don't fit, or they don't look right. these are the things I tend to buy as they are cheap and all but new! :)

Stick to the decent brands too. Dainese and alpinestars are a lot about the name so you pay over the odds for it. Arlen Ness and Berik are generally better gear but cheaper, especially on eBay.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I am looking now actually, and you are right there are a few good offers on there. I'll just have to be lucky with the sizes:) It would be a lot easier to get a bargain if I was XXXL

If you are using Mozilla Firefox, get the myibidder extension. If your not, download Firefox and then get this extension. It's a sniping tool and places bids in the final seconds of an auction. I win a lot more than I loose with this tool!
