meanwhile in the News......
As the rest of Europe teeters on collapse, with millions of people in poverty, due to fat cats eating well, and generally making a mess of the little persons lives.......
Some footballer is docked 10 days pay of 200k, and not allowed to play with the boys coz he got a detention. How can this drivel be such a top news story? There is more important things going on in the world, but hey, this is what sheople like to hear! :smt076 |

Re: meanwhile in the News......
Rather like the storm in a teacup over a minister most of us had never heard of calling someone a vaugely rude name. Annoying for the Rozzer on the gate but did it warrant headline news for days? Yet again the media ignores real news to berate a public figure for having the audacity to go to a public school, do well for themselves, get into a blinking hard job and work very long hours trying to improve the world for everyone else. Even my local paper is full of articles about people slagging off councillors, most of whom only want to serve therir community, also work long hours, get little or no moentary reward and just get knocked by people who'd never have the guts to do the job themselves. That's because the news has dumbed down to an extent that it does warrant day after day of pointless drivel
Paul the 6th was right in his thread, its best to ignore it now, you'll feel much happier. |

Re: meanwhile in the News......
Ahhh, right.
Well, I don't watch the news often, as I'm usually busy, so only catch fragments. As Peggyleg is off work we sat over lunch, and can't believe what drivel is there. Tbh, we were concerned about the Greek/Spanish crisis which was on the other day, so was in the mind the Euro, may have been a hot topic again........obviously not! |
