SV650S swingarm nut/ abba stand

Hi, looking for some help. I recently bought a 2003 SV650S. I've just got an Abba stand for it together with the correct fitting kit. However, the swingarm locking nut is flush with the end of the bolt. The fitting kit is clearly the correct size but obviously has nothing to hold onto as the end of the bolt is not proud of the nut. Has anybody come across this before? I'm guessing that maybe the nut needs torquing up, but I'm going to have to get the special socket before I can try that. Does that sound likely or is there anything else I should be aware of? Thanks, Rob

Are you doing it right? The stand adaptor ordinarily is to be inserted into the hollow swingarm, not around it. Adaptor back to front possibly?
