Xbox network adaptor
Evening All
I want to get my son a wireless network adaptor for his Xbox360 but my question is do I need to use a genuine Microsoft one or not as they are extortionately expensive. I can find a Datel adaptor which is compatible but is still £35, can I use an even cheaper one? |
Re: Xbox network adaptor
Yep any will do! You may get a touch of lag with games like COD, getting shot with invisible rounds and such but you get what you pay for, I paid 79euro's for the one on my old 60gb xbox and that was better than the built in one to the 260gb one I have now!

Re: Xbox network adaptor
Difficult to tell with wireless. All depends on how good it is normally in Your house, if you've got interference then even the best stuff may not cope.

Re: Xbox network adaptor
It will cope OK I have the PC hardwired to the modem by ethernet then 3 laptops, 3 android phones, a cheap android tablet, 2 Xboxes and a Smart TV all connected and everything works quickly, its just this extra xbox in his room that isn't connected.

Re: Xbox network adaptor
I've got the genuine wireless
More stable TBH (mines a old one too). If you follow microsofts router set-up it'll work decent |
Re: Xbox network adaptor
What is MS router set up, it that when it says wireless network found etc?

Re: Xbox network adaptor
Depends who your provider is as to whether you need to bother but it wouldn't work with three xboxes anyway.
Just plug the next one in like the others. |
So in short I can use any wifi adaptor?
