get the biggest litre tank you can afford.

i have one of those little wolf craft ones and its ok but not great. changing the air line and fittings for decent ones helped massively as the ones supplied are cheep nasty leaky crap.

all i ever use is an impact gun, air duster, mini stapler and very rarely the nail gun.

keep your eye on ebay and gumtree for big ones local as they can go fairly cheep due to being heavy to move.

The little cheapies are ok for occasional use.

Big help to replace the standard crap reg with some proper big bore fittings, adds a lot more poke to windy gun.

To echo what has been said above, I use one of the Powercraft compressors from Aldi/ Lidl which apparently is a rebadged Wolf Air one. It cost me about £80 and so far its done everything I ask of it. However it does need all of the connectors replacing on day one, and if you go for a bigger bore line than is supplied the Impact Gun is amazing. Machine Mart can help with the connectors, my local one even knew what one I had when I was buying the parts... The only criticism is its size, you can quickly go through the tank but so long as its only the small occasional jobs then its not to much bother and a worthwhile investment.

You can also add bigger tanks later if you want, it's also worth checking what power you have available. Sodding gert 20A motors are great if you can feed them enough amps!

Clas ohlson had some decent looking ones in recently. Slightly cheaper than the one I got from Aldi but not sure of comparable quality.
