Well don L.C.C, it only took you 28 years
To install a grit bin.
Every year I had to take the wheel barrow up the A6 to a small road that had a bin in order to spread the stuff on the hill I live on. Now, I need only cross the road. Marvellous. Persistence wins out eventually. Now if you can fix some pot holes, I would be very grateful. |

Nah in spring they'll stick some tarmac in your bin for you to DIY it :)

Wycombe DC have stuck big notices on all the grit bins saying "for public highway use only". Bet some git still takes a full 'barrow load of it for their drive though and leaves the roads a deathtrap. When we had snow earlier this year I witnessed arguments when folks from the far end of the estate came to the bin near me as their's had run out...
Timbo - if you've been helping your neighbours by trudging off to find some to spread on the road by your gaff then good on you! Glad you don't have to trudge so far now. |
