Water getting in under jacket
I have the RST Paragon III zip together jacket and jeans. Even at minus 4deg the other day I didnt feel the cold. However (and this has only happened on two occassions) when we have really heavy rain a tiny bit of water seems to be seeping onto my top under the jacket. It is just above the trouser line so assume it is coming off my tank or trousers and working up.
I have the elastic of the jacket pulled tight but a small amount still finds it way in. Does anyone else have this problem with zip togther waterproof stuff and is there anything cheap on the market which I can wear under my jacket to keep my clothes dry. I googled waterproof vest and some stuff was coming up over £50 which seemed a bit steep. Hoping someone else has overcome this much cheaper. |
Re: Water getting in under jacket
you could wear any normal thin waterproof under your jacket.
Nip into a camping shop and pick something up for a few quid then tuck it into your trousers. |
Re: Water getting in under jacket
It's a bit like water getting up your sleeves after a while... One option is bib-front trousers as the water has to get a long way up to make your top damp. Not very stylish off the bike bit comfort is of course more important.
