It's off back to work we go (most of us anyway, a quick thanks to those who had to work over the holidays though!)

A new year and all but I can't get enthused on what is essentially a Monday.
3/4 IT worker workers are off ill so I'm here on my own today, boring.

The only good news is I'm creeping up the work fantasy football league and I know absolutely nothing about it. my hope is to finish 2nd to last or better just so I can beat someone. so far I'm 5th though ;) Ahead of my (football fan) boss 8-[

It is sooooooooo quiet here in the office today and like you Brettus I have little enthusiasm. What's worse is our facilities team correctly guessed how many people would be here and turned down the heating in all but the hotdesk area... Most of us have now relocated to that bit of the building so we can avoid wearing gloves :smt009.

I'm back on nights tonight. Should be slow, hopefully it'll keep on raining, keeps the muppets inside. Looking forward to it, I've been off since Xmas eve and being at home, watching telly with rain on the windows has been dull.

You mean they haven't turned it back on ;)
Trev no Facilities team is that good (thats what I am, and have seen how other firms deal with even ice!!), they will have worked on like-for-like headcount data never always works

Back today on half day, I'm very quiet until the 7th as most of the people I'm dealing with are off until then

a plumbing mate of mine did christmas day, boxing day and New years eve/day. He questioned why I asked him if he had been screwing his bosses daughter.

Oh dear, Thursday isn't faring much better either. The most productive thing I've done today was install the games I've bought in the steam winter sale (25gbs worth of download ;)) better than trying to use my 30gb/month (peak time) home broadband quota.

I need a damn good sleep to jumpstart my enthusiasm I think, getting back into waking up early is doing me in.

My colleague came in today but went home at lunch as he was still rough so its damn quiet in IT (mercifully so are the calls too)
