Re: Welfare myths
Nobody is interested in the Truth, God Dammit!

Re: Welfare myths
We live in Daily hateMail Britain, where the truth rather inconveniently gets in the way of peoples desire to feed and exercise their bigotry.

Re: Welfare myths
How can they know how much is fraudulently claimed?

Anyway, whatever it is, fraudulent claiming is too high regardless. |
Re: Welfare myths
I'd like to know how many in raw numbers claim it for more than 5 years.

I guess people will believe whatever they wish to believe if it reinforces their view of the world.

Re: Welfare myths
you have to look at the bigger picture as it's not just the unemployed that cost money it's also working families couples with or without children.
so a working couple who both have part time jobs totaling 24hrs or more earning 10k with 3 kid will get £11,815 top up which brings the total income to 21,815. this couple actually get paid more in top ups than they make as a wage. an unemployed couple with three kids gets a top up of £8,615 + their income support. but what they give in one hand they take in another. |
