K3 cold running problem.

Evening all. Seem to have annoying problem with the bike and after some help. When it's cold it won't run without keeping the revs abound 2k until its warmed up to around 60c. Idle is set to around 1500 and tps is bang on. It's been like this for a while now just never got round to sorting it. Any suggestions welcome. Ta

Is the coolant level correct? Don't just check the expansion tank as the hose can get obstructed, look in the radiator.
If it runs correctly otherwise I'd start by checking sensors for correct connections. Fast/cold idle is controlled by STV actuator and a small cam on it's pivot, I can't imagine it would run correctly if the STV had failed, so it's not that specifically but perhaps the cam/adjuster are somehow awry.

I've checked the fast idle this morning which was out by .5v adjusted it to 1.2. The STV was parcially open so opened it right up. Put it all back together and now can't get it to start. Do you know if the STV has to be closed again before putting back together. Followed the guide below. Cheers for any advice

So managed to find the problem today. Played around with stv again as it was out even tho I only set it 2 days ago. Put everything back together fired it up and noticed the ignition lead arc-ing out on the frame just under the tank. Looked at the coil and the lead was resting on the coil and barely attached. The weird thing is that the bike still seemed to run just a bit lumpy.

Any one know where I can get a set of leads from, preferably new. Looking at the leads and coil I take they are a sealed unit. Looked around the Internet but not heaving a lot of luck.
