Unsure Insurance?

OMO,
Just changed my insurer, can I make a claim for damage sustained before I changed?

Might have issues with your no claims.

Check your contract, a lot of them have a very limited period after the accident to claim in or at least notify them.

I certainly don't think you could claim off your NEW insurer.

Protected for 2 claims or one accident, not sure what the difference is between damage and accident?

Yeah I'm not thinking I can, just looking for a definitive answer one way or the other.

Windscreen damage and stuff usually.

But you'd still have an issue since you should have notified your new insurer about the accident even if you didn't claim... And I think we all know that you didn't as none of us would either.

There was no accident, Just the demented bint at Tesco that hit the Ace with her trolley, the damage is progressive, it keeps getting worse every time I ride!

BTW, can have as many windscreens as I need for the car without affecting ncb, not sure how many windscreens your Ace has but I ain't got one!

By windscreens and stuff do you mean body work repair? Coz that is what I need for the Ace!

I think your new insurer won't be interested unless you lie and say it just happened and you're probably out of time limit with your old insurer.

Either way I think it would come close to writing the bike off.

Doubt it would write it off got a quote for repair of £425, but if it did surely they would pay out?

BTW fair point on windscreen, but I always think just "screen" is more appropriate, I assumed you'd had a brain fart and were talking cage!

oh yeah, they'd pay out. Depends how they value the bike i think they usually repair up to 60% of the value (maybe thats just cars).

Well the screen is for the wind. What i was getting at was that its for damage that isn't caused by you hitting other cars, like paint damage etc (i think)

For the miles and year book price is £1200, so should be ok on that and it was a shopping trolley so how do they work that out?

All I wanted was a definite yes or no answer to the op.
