Hotels & B&B's in Glasgow - secure parking
 

Howdy folks,

Looking to pick your brains please - I'm looking for suggestions of bike friendly hotels & B&B's in and around Glasgow - certainly at least one of which could do to be slap bang in the city somewhere.

Main and overwhelming priority is proper secure parking - i.e. not just the local multi-storey that they've bagged a deal with.

Any suggestions most welcomed, please!

Wow. Why not go ahead and ask for the moon on a stick why don't you!

"Proper secure parking" narrows it down to the Hilton's underground facility I think. Even the Marriott only has 'secure parking' i.e. a barrier, and most point you to the nearest NCP. Real estate is expensive in the big city.

Some of the smaller places will let you park in the yard behind them rather than in the street, but that still doesn't make it practically more secure than your lock and chain make it.

Of course, secure parking is available in my shed gratis to members of the Org and to MotoGoLoco customers for a very modest fee.

Cadogan street Carpark is as central as you can get.
Bike parking is free (or it was the last time I was there)
The giant steel doors lock at night so any car left in will be going nowhere.
If you are happy to not use bike at night, then this may be an option.
I can find out what the hours are.
The is a Glasgow City Council carpark.

And to think everyone I've told about what my current job is looks at me with envy and rage...

. . and from the Hostel: " Many thanks for the email enquiry with Euro Hostel Glasgow, we do not have our own car park however we do work closely with Thistle car park which is just round the corner from us and they offer all of our guests a 24 hour stay for the small charge of £6.00. (this is half price as the normal charge is £12.00) "

Might be worth trying Jury's inn Jamaica Street, backs onto Glasgow central
