Moisture sealing around a cable
 

Washed the Tiger today and when ACF50ing afterwards I notice water getting into the aftermarket running lights via the hole the wires go in. They're just little standalone LED things attached to the bottom of the radiator.

I can't open them up and get access to the wiring so I need to just seal around the wiring where it enters the back of the light units. It looks like a glue gun or similar was used before to seal around the holes but this glue has come away so need to reseal.

Was thinking about doing the same thing and grabbing some epoxy or something and just glueing it all up. The surfaces are just plastic at the back of the light, with a tiny rubber bung and the sheathed wires going in. Can anyone recommend any glue or perhaps another approach to sealing it up? I need to get this done tomorrow as I'm out on the bike for a week next Monday and its bound to rain at some point!

Silicon sealer will do the job

Think I have some silicone sealant somewhere. What's the bond like? Will it not come loose with vibration/wind?

Nope, make sure it's clean first. Will be fine dude. Try sealing to items together then, after it's set try take them apart.

Its an adhesive same as glue

silicone ended up holding my car rear view on and is the only thing holding glass fish tanks together usually, strong stuff!

I to would use silicone. Its flexible so wont crack, cheap as chips and of course, waterproof.

You can get clear aswell, so it shouldnt look too bad :)

remember to get the moisture out first coz if you don't it will rot everything inside.
