Remus Grand Prix Fitting? Curvy.

I've recently bought a Remus Grand Prix slip on for my curvy but I can't get it to fit right. Rather than the end can sitting parallel to the bike it sticks out to the side. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem as I'm thinking I've got a pointy link pipe instead.
