should the yanks be told by Opec to open their oil fields and start pumping oil like everyone else?

i don't think it's fair that they get to keep reserves while everyone else is depleting theirs.

I've seen first hand, oil fields in Texas that apparently have loads of oil but hardly ever get used, perhaps they are stock piling.

None of OPEC's business to tell them what to do. Only thing they could do is convince them to do it by price rises... but why would they drive away their business?

Why sell it now or in the past when it's been cheap...sell it when it's super expensive, when everyone else runs out!

I'm confused. Is America holding on to its oil now? Last I heard their oil and gas production was expanding so massively that they expect to be self-sufficient in a decade. That's bad news if you're an OPEC member.
